World population is projected to increase exponentially from 4 billion in 2000 to 8 billion inhabitants by 2050. A majority of this population explosion will occur in Developing Countries that are in the process of shifting from a rural agrarian to urban information society.

Exponential demand for limited natural resources, coupled with increasing extreme weather events due to Global Warming, are accentuating the long recognized problem of housing for the masses. Literally, millions are homeless, live in inadequate shelter, or as in the US Manufactured Housing market, live in poor quality “manufactured” homes that are detrimental to health, at best, or during extreme weather events, suffer catastrophic damages often resulting in death to the occupants (***Barrow, Al Arayedh).

The UNITED NATIONS indicates 35 MILLION NEW HOMES must be built annually over the next 25 Years to accommodate SOARING URBAN POPULATIONS, particularly in Developing Countries.

Millions of persons have migrated from rural agrarian locations to urban centers (cities) ... 150,000+ every 24 hours ... seeking jobs and a better life. Some live in informal settlements with minimal infrastructure and shelter; this often results in hopelessness, poor mental & physical health for the residents and contributes to environmental and society degradation.
